A complete variety of services were required for this lovely range of buildings, dating from the Great
Hall c.1220, through all periods of architecture including sympathetic new structures and links.
HBC carried out a large amount of stonemasonry and brickwork consolidation, with
over 2,000 square metres of lime render and plaster (much on lath and reed).
This included a substantial area of new roman cement work. Much of the building
required structural stabilisation, a speciality of the company, involving the
installation of stainless steel helical ties.
